Obsidian: Dungeon Siege III Won't Have Same Mistakes That New Vegas Had

If there was a lesson to be learned by developers when Fallout: New Vegas was released, was that if you have aspirations of releasing a game that's worthy of being considered for "Game of the Year" don't release it with a plethora of bugs and glitches. Obsidian, New Vegas developer, claims to have learned from that process and swears that those same mistakes won't be made with Dungeon Siege III.

Feargus Urquhart, the firm's CEO, has stated that New Vegas would have been much better had it been a smoother experience. In an interview with Play magazine, he stated,
“In the case of Fallout: New Vegas, we made a gigantic game, and I’m proud with what we were able to do but I wish it wasn’t as glitchy when it came out,” Urquhart explained.

“The criticisms people had are fair but it’s difficult to get a game the size of New Vegas bug free. But that’s an excuse and it doesn’t matter when someone’s paid $60 for a game. It’s something we need to work on.”
Urquhart states that he's encouraged by the feedback he's received from concerned gamers and insists that Dungeon Siege III will benefit from it.
“We’ve been playing and playing and playing and playing to ensure it’s of a high standard."
Urquhart also stated that since they are using their own tech and not someone else's they know exactly where to look for the bugs and glitches.
