First Multiplayer Details Go Live For Catherine

Atlus has revealed the first multiplayer details concerning their upcoming title, Catherine.

Revealing the features in the latest issue of Famitsu, translated by Andriasang, the game will have four options from the load screen when you start up the game; Golden Theater, Babel, Colosseum, and Configuration.

Golden Theater will be the game's main story mode and depending on the choices and actions you make with the main character, Vincent, his fate will change often throughout. Three difficulty settings will be made available; Easy, Normal, and Hard.

Golden Theater is also the name of an in-game television show by a woman named Midnight Venus. This woman will introduce you to the game's various characters.

Babel Mode is the mini-game Vincent experiences where you must climb a tower. Babel Mode has four stages, which are unlockable based on how your story progressed in the game's Golden Theater. Babel Mode contains both single and two-player options with online rankings boards.

After beating the Golden Theater mode you will then have access to Colosseum Mode. This mode is where two players can battle in the game's action stages. It's a combination of Golden Theater and Babel Mode, where both players will have to battle their way to the top of their respective towers, the first to the top being the winner.

The Online portion of the game will feature trophy support and will also have a Confession Room. This is an area you will be able to access once the top of a given stage is reached. Here you will be asked multiple choice questions and your answers will determine if you advance or not.

Catherine is out in Japan on February 17 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
