Frosthaven Launches into Early Access with new trailer

Arc Games, a leading publisher of premium and live service games, in partnership with Asmodee and Cephalofair Games, have revealed the Early Access launch trailer a day early for FROSTHAVEN, the dark fantasy tactical RPG based on the highly acclaimed board game of the same name – is entering Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store. In celebration of bringing the beloved board game to the digital realm, FROSTHAVEN will be available for 10% off its retail price of $39.99 until August 7.

Also, to give players the ultimate strategic board game digital adaptation experience, Arc Games has partnered with Twin Sails, publisher of the digital version of Gloomhaven, to offer a bundle that includes both FROSTHAVEN and Gloomhaven that will be available for a limited time, the same day of FROSTHAVEN's Early Access launch, and be available for 10% off the bundle's retail price of $74.98.

In development from Snapshot Games, led by CEO Julian Gollop, who's best known as the creator of X-COM, with the board game creator Isaac Childres from Cephalofair Games serving as a consultant on the project, players can jump into the world of FROSTHAVEN like never before and experience how this faithful video game adaptation evolves the beloved board game experience. The Early Access launch will mark just the beginning of FROSTHAVEN, as players can experience roughly one-third of the planned content for the game's 1.0 launch and players will be able to share feedback to help shape and evolve the game throughout the course of Early Access.

Those who embark on this adventure from the very beginning of Early Access will be able to experience roughly one-third of the planned content for the full 1.0 version of the game, with more content and gameplay improvements intended to be added in game updates that are expected to be released in intervals approximately three months from each other. Content available at Early Access launch includes: single player and online co-op multiplayer modes, along with NVIDIA GeForce NOW support for players to stream the game on almost any device, eight unique characters, including six starting characters and two unlockable characters, more than 35 tactical quests, including in-depth tutorial missions, more than 100 choice-driven events – with quests and events featuring voice over narration from Forteller Games. Players will have the ability to build their own Outpost, by constructing buildings and completing events which will lead to unlocking new game features. Whether you've played hours upon hours of the board game or if you're a newcomer, you'll be able to jump in and get right into the action immediately.

Developer Snapshot Games currently plans for FROSTHAVEN to be in Early Access for about a year, but this can change depending on the community's feedback and requests for content. More post-Early Access launch content details will be shared in an Early Access content roadmap that will be revealed in some time following Early Access launch. The team developed FROSTHAVEN with Early Access in mind, as they feel strongly that player feedback will be critical to this ambitious process of transforming a board game of this scale into a video game. Early Access will help to bring the game to its full potential before it enters the 1.0 launch. Players are encouraged to share their feedback via FROSTHAVEN's official Discord, as the team will continue to be actively monitoring, collecting and responding to feedback that's given there – and using the feedback to discover ways to shape FROSTHAVEN during Early Access.
