Super Street Fighter IV 3DS Will Feature Online Multiplayer
Speaking with G4 at the Nintendo World event last week, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono, producer for Super Street Fighter IV 3D, said that the game would include "worldwide online play." There will also be a feature dubbed Channel Live, which allows players to spectate other matches. That may not matter much for the casual Street Fighter player, like myself, but I get the feeling that hardcore players are likely to embrace it.
For those of you who don't already know, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is a port of the console title to Nintendo's new handheld. The game features 35 characters from its console cousin and is otherwise the same.
The game is one of the 3DS's Japanese launch titles, releasing on February 26. Release dates for anywhere else are unknown, but release dates for the handheld itself outside of Japan are also unknown.
