Free-to-play Fortnite asks you to build a a night...because monsters are coming

Epic Games' Fortnite looks to have a pretty great central concept: players will work together in teams to build a fort that can withstand a huge hoard of monsters.

The process is probably best shown in this brand spankin' new gameplay trailer:

Epic announced Fortnite in late 2011, but has said very little about the game since. After the game was moved to Epic Games Poland (formerly People Can Fly), developer of Bulletstorm, some thought the game to be in development hell. However, today's trailer made it clear that the game is definitely in development, and looking pretty damn sweet too.

The free-to-play title will be online-only with a focus on multiplayer.
