The developers of Bayonetta are making a Legend of Korra game

Platinum Games, developers of such crazy action titles as Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, are working on a game based on the Nickelodeon animated series Legend of Korra.

Here's the announcement trailer:

Players will fight enemies like Mecha Tanks, Chi Blockers, and other Benders with the Avatar's fire, earth, air, and water elements.

Tim Hedrick, who writes for the show, is also writing the game. The story take place between the second and third seasons of the show. The third season (Book Three) debuts this Friday. Here's the trailer for that:

Both Legend of Korra and its predecessor, Avatar: The Last Airbender, are known having epic action sequences. Platinum Games is known for having absolutely insane action sequences. This game could be absolutely nuts as a result.

The game will be available to download this fall for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.
