Here's something for longtime fans of first-person shooters: Wolfenstein: The New Order was released earlier today, and players have already stumbled upon a fun little easter egg. Players who come upon the easter egg will be transported to a stage from id's Wolfenstein 3D:
Wolfenstein 3D came out way back in 1992--22 years ago. It's crazy to realize that the series is still getting installments after all this time. Then again, it was one of the first first-person shooters of all time.
For gamers who played it back then, the easter egg serves as a nostalgic trip. For younger gamers, it's an opportunity to experience the first 3D adventure of BJ Blazkowicz.
