Alien: Isolation dev diary goes old school
Can you imagine the world of "Aliens" if it was taken over by Apple? Everything looking sleek and white, with touchpad LCD screens and more lens flares than a J.J. Abrams "Star Trek" film?
Yeeeah...that wouldn't be very scary, would it?
Fortunately, Alien: Isolation developers The Creative Assembly understand this, and demonstrate such in their latest developer diary, "Low Fi Sci Fi."
It's gratifying to hear that the developers want to be so faithful to the look and feel of the original films. It will go a long way to helping this game--which is probably best described "Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but with an Alien"--become as creepy as it hopes to be.
Alien: Isolation launches October 7, 2014 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
