Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark announced
Today, Activision and Hasbro announced Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark.
The game is described as a "video game complement" to the upcoming Michael Bay film Transformers: Age of Extinction, which comes out in June. (Also coming in June: a lot of complaints about Michael Bay.)
Rise of the Dark Spark seeks to bridge the gap between the film series and the well-regarded Transformers: War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron video game series.
The third-person action adventure title will feature over 40 playable characters, both Autobots and Decepticons, as both forces battle to control the Dark Spark. The fan-favorite multiplayer mode Escalation will also return for this entry in the series.
Activision also released a trailer for the game:
The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and 3DS.
