The Crew Delayed Until December

Are you one of several eager racing fans awaiting Ubisoft's open world MMORacing game The Crew? Well, go ahead and make a stop at a random gas station and fill up on fuel and snacks because The Crew has been pushed back from it's scheduled November 11, 2014 release date to December 2, 2014. In a statement on The Crew's official website yesterday, the team posted the following;

Today, we’d like to announce that The Crew will be released worldwide on December 2nd.

The extra time will allow for a second closed console beta to be held, giving even more players the opportunity to experience the game, which is something the community has been requesting. Like the betas held previously, valuable player feedback and other essential information will be gathered, further enhancing the experience.

“Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players.” says Julian Gerighty, Creative Director.

The endless roads of the United States will open up once again in November, when the second console closed beta launches. We hope to see you there!

When it came to the PC Beta, everything seemed like it was almost in place with very little negative feedback from the testing community. It would appear this delay is resting on the shoulders of either the Playstation 4 or Xbox One's performances, or perhaps both, as neither seemed to have had the praise that the beta on PC did. Though on the other hand, it could be the fault of neither as well as Ubisoft already has three games releasing in November, perhaps this is a marketing ploy to make sure that December sales don't fall too far behind November. It could be any number of things, but the only certainty of it is that whatever happened, racers will have to wait just a little longer before they take to the open roads of the USA.
