F.E.A.R. Online?
In the last several years, there is a series that made a huge impact on the FPS genre of games, and that would be the F.E.A.R. series. F.E.A.R., or First Encounter Assault Recon, released back in October of 2005 and it became renowned for two things; brutally unforgiving AI, and heart-stopping scares. Though the A.I. was toned down in the two sequels, the scares remained and continued to give players a unique experience in that way. With F.3.A.R. (F.E.A.R. 3), players were introduced to a co-op experience that while fun, seemed to lead to the game being shorter overall. No matter which ending you got at the end of the third game however, it left it very open ended to the possibility of another title.
But at no point were most people expecting that next title to be F.E.A.R. Online, and it has mostly flown under the radar despite the pedigree that it's coming from. For those interested in seeing if F.E.A.R. Online is worthy of that title, you can head over to the official website and sign up for registration for the open beta, which begins today.
