Far Cry 4, Officially Unveiled

After much speculation over the last year, Ubisoft has finally answered the call of the fans of the Far Cry series. Far Cry 4, has been officially unveiled though at this time all we have is the boxart, the platforms, and the current release date. While Far Cry 1 and 3 had us exploring jungle islands, and Far Cry 2 took as to the deserts and savannas of Africa, Far Cry 4 has the setting aimed much higher. How high exactly? Try the Himalayas. Set in a fictional region of this mountainous landscape, called Kyrat, players are going to find themselves once again going up against wildlife and human enemies alike.

Though details on the story are scarce at the moment, it would appear that this time we will be facing off against a regime of hired guns serving a self appointed king. Whether or not he will be a worthy antagonist to follow in the footsteps of Vaas or The Jackal remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain; a lot of blood is going to be spilled by both the players and the enemies.

Ubisoft plans to unveil the first gameplay footage of the upcoming title at this year's E3, with the release currently planned for November 18th, 2014. It will be available on PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. There are no plans for a Wii U release at this time.
