FTL: Advanced Edition, Available April 3rd
In 2012 Subset Games released FTL, an indie strategy game centralized around the theme of space travel. In this title, players found themselves on a mission to deliver intelligence to the rest of your ally fleet, while facing the vast perils of space between the start and end of the journey. Features of the original title included permadeath, in depth crew management which became especially tricky when dealing with some hostiles, ship upgrading and unlocking new ships entirely, completely randomized events to make each play through unique, and much more.
Taking off like the space rockets that have inspired space adventures across the different realms of media, FTL recieved generally favorable scores from both critics and users and then with time, slowly faded away into space. Last evening, Subset revealed via twitter that the free expansion FTL: Advanced Edition will be released on April 3, 2014. Will you strap on your space suit and take to the stars?
