Ex-Irrational devs looking to Kickstart The Flame in the Flood
The Flame in the Flood is a survival adventure game being developed by a group of old Irrational Games employees. Travelling down a great procedurally generated river in a post-societal America, you must avoid dangerous wildlife, seek temporary shelter and scrounge for food and supplies in order to keep “Scout” and her trusty hound “Aesop” healthy. The Flame in the Flood seems to be an inherently nomadic survival game; there is no staying put, you must take to your raft and follow the flows and surges of water towards an unknown destination.
Quirky and atmospheric, there's a lot of intriguing elements here – and who doesn’t want to play the Adventures of Huckleberry Fin? The developers have taken to Kickstarter to try and fund their project, and with 29 days still to go, it's already 1/3rd of the way there. There's more detail and images for the game over on the Kickstarter page, but you can watch the video pitch below.
