Overwatch 2's PachiMarchi event launches today
While Blizzard has historically promised that Overwatch 2 would herald the introduction of new game modes and events, their present development efforts to date have not necessarily impressed the Overwatch community, as evidenced by the lukewarm reception to the recent Battle for Olympus event.
However, players will soon have a fresh opportunity to test out yet another small-scale event, as Blizzard is set to debut PachiMarchi, an event themed around everyone's favorite shotgun-and-hook-slinging tank character, Roadhog. The choice of Roadhog as a character to base a seasonal event around is a curious one, and it'll be interesting to see what kinds of fun Blizzard has with the character here.
The patch notes for this event have not as of yet gone live, so details about the new limited-time mode are still under wraps, but Blizzard has confirmed that players will be able to unlock new cosmetics and other rewards by participating in this event. So if you're on the fence about jumping in, maybe the prospect of earning a new skin and/or spray is just what you needed to convince you to jump back in.
