The Book Of Unwritten Tales Getting English Release This Fall


KING Art Games is a German indie developer who have seen a lot of recent success with their fantasy point-and-click adventure, The Book Of Unwritten Tales, in their native country since its release a couple of years ago. Now confident with the game becoming Germany’s highest rated adventure game since the old Lucas Arts days and going further to be one of the best-selling adventure games of the last couple of years, the development team have localised the game for an English-speaking audience.

The official website of The Book of Unwritten Tales sums up the game’s premise as follows:

“In a world torn by war, the aged gremlin archaeologist Mortimer MacGuffin harbours the dark secret of a powerful artefact. Whoever calls this artefact his own, will determine the fate of the world.

While the Army of the Shadows sends out its best and most devious agents to discover the secret, the Alliance’s four heroes find themselves involuntarily drawn into the crisis… ”

The game features some beautiful artwork and certainly has an air of excellence surrounding it as can be grasped from the following gameplay:



The game will contain about 20 hours of gameplay and allows players to either simultaneously, or take turns in controlling the four characters Wilbur, Nate, Ivo, and the Critter – each of which come with their own designated skills. The adventures of crazy characters and bizarre locations will features over 150 mind-boggling puzzles to solve and more than 300 items to use and combine.
