"Here Comes The Sun"
The visual quality shown in the game is second-to-none in this genre. The graphics have been cleaned-up and tightened-up considerably since RB2. The level of polish demonstrated in the more realistic aesthetic (compared to RB2) is a joy to behold. Unfortunately you won't be designing your own band this time around, such is the power of The Beatles brand, but that certainly takes nothing away from the experience, in fact it probably adds to it.
The real-world venues are incredibly life-like and teeming with atmosphere, whether that's the Ed Sullivan Show stage, The Cavern Club in Liverpool or the group's famous impromptu rooftop performance. The more psychedelic stage of the band's career is demonstrated when songs like "I am The Walrus" are performed on "Dreamscapes," These funky settings reflect the mood of some of the more outlandish Beatles tracks, for example playing "Octopus's Garden" results in an underwater setting. It seems a little silly, but it really fits in with the music and psychology of the band in their later years. The backgrounds are also beautifully animated.
Included on the disc are 45 songs from 12 of the band's albums released between 1962 and 1969. The game also supports DLC and will have the entire Abbey Road album available to download on day one, as well as the song "All You Need is Love." All proceeds from downloading that song will be going to the "Doctors Without Borders" charity. For the full list of songs that have been released so far, please see the end of this article. It's shaping up to be a breathtaking playlist and a fantastic selection across The Beatles' epic catalogue.
"Eight Days A Week"
If you consider yourself to be a Rock Band fan, or a Beatles fan, then this game will be a must-have for you when it comes out in September. It's everything you want from a Rock Band experience, tied in with everything you love about the Beatles. I for one will be playing this game eight days a week!
