Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition Only RE5 Version To Get Move Support

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition Only RE5 Version To Get Move Support
Capcom has announced that their Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be the only RE5 version getting Playstation 3 Move support.

Sid Shuman, Sony's social media specialist, said;
"If you already own a copy of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for your PS3, you'll be able to download a free patch close to the launch of the PlayStation Move (September 19th in North America) to enable the new motion-control scheme. This will only work with RE5 copies labeled 'Gold Edition' — the original version of RE5 won't be receiving the patch, for technical reasons."
Resident Evil 5 wasn't good enough to warrant me re-purchasing the game, in my opinion. Capcom never ceases to make you dig down deep in your wallet though.

PS3 Netflix Adds A Search Option

PS3 Netflix Adds A Search Option
If you've watched a Netflix movie lately from the PS3, you may have noticed that it is much easier to navigate through the selection process of picking a flick. No, you still need a disc to watch them...but if you look closely you'll see a "search" feature as one of the first options that pops up.

Searching by letters "A...B...C..." seems to be the best route. The Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii have not yet received this "update" to their versions of Netflix.

The PS3 Netflix application will be going disc-less by the end of October this year.

New-Old Cole Revealed In New inFamous 2 Concept Art

New-Old Cole Revealed In New inFamous 2 Concept Art
It was announced this past week at Comic-Con 2010 that Sucker Punch was changing the lead character in inFamous 2, Cole, look back to what his appearance was in the first game. Although there weren't any pictures of the new-old Cole, fans were relieved, after all, they were the ones that voiced their displeasure of the new looking Cole for the sequel.

New concept art, captured by GAF, shows the newly-redesigned Cole. It was revealed at E3 2010 that Cole would be getting a new look but this was met with loads of upheaval from fans.

The game is out next year for the PS3.

Playstation+ To Cover Your DC Universe Online Sub Fee?

Playstation+ To Cover Your DC Universe Online Sub Fee?
Rumor has been sparked over at Newarama that Playstation+ will cover your subscription fee to DC Universe Online.

It's merely a rumor until confirmed by Sony themselves but it's potentially HUGE news for the MMO world and online RPG's in general. If Playstation+ cover's your sub fee to DC Universe, imagine the other titles that could be incorporated eventually.

I've sent an email to Sony to see if they "speculate on rumors", chances are slim though. Keep it here at Hooked Gamers for further updates.

Want To Take A Look At inFamous 2's Cutscenes?

Want To Take A Look At inFamous 2's Cutscenes?
Earlier today it was revealed that inFamous 2's Cole was going back to his original design after criticism of the new look. Like the first game, inFamous 2 will have comic book style cutscenes and they're looking even more impressive this time around.

It's very stylish and should be very effective in creating the comic book superhero feeling Sucker Punch is going for. Check out the video over on the PlayStation Blog.
