Long live King Shrek.

Shrek the Third

With the larger than life Ogre hitting (or about to hit, depending on where you live) the big screens, there was little doubt that an associated game would be released.

OK? if you haven?t seen the movie, or read anything about it, I apologise for the following as it may contain a spoiler to the plot of the movie?
As you know already, Shrek being married to Princess Fiona makes him royalty, and when the King dies, Shrek finds that he is the one who will replace King Harold as heir to the throne. Shrek is disgusted at the thought of having to rule the kingdom and decides that there has to be someone else. After a little research, he finds that a young boy named Arthur (you know, the boy who pulls the sword from the stone) is the only other person who can be king. So, Shrek heads off to seek Arthur to be king and return Shrek?s own life to some sort of normalcy.

Arthur: "Help! I'm being kidnapped by a monster who's trying to relate to me!"

It is your job in this game to help Shrek on his journey to find Arthur and then return him to the kingdom of Far Far Away. Of course Shrek and friends have numerous obstacles in their way, especially those which have been sent by Prince Charming who wants to rule the kingdom himself. In all there are 20 levels to play, each increasing in difficulty and each with its own setting. Locations include Far Far Away, Cook?s Ship, the Evil Queen?s Castle and Stromboli?s Workshop. As well as the normal playing levels, there are a number of multiplayer mini-games such as Castle Capture and Shooting Gallery.

Gamers are able to play as all their favourite characters, including Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots, Sleeping Beauty and Arthur. Each character has its own special unique abilities, such as Shrek?s Ground Pound and Fiona?s Flying Kick. This will definitely improve the replay ability of the game.
