The addition of Kratos from God of War as a playable character in Mortal Kombat got us thinking. What other well-known characters would we love to see dueling to the death in the classic gory fighting game?

The addition of Kratos from God of War as a playable character in Mortal Kombat got us thinking. What other well-known characters would we love to see dueling to the death in the classic gory fighting game? The more violent the better, right? Well we think so, that’s why we went so far as to include a fatality for each one as well!

1. Isaac Clarke (Dead Space)
9 Characters That Should Be In Mortal Kombat

Origin: Earthrealm
Specialities: Plasma Cutter, Unrealistic Stomp, RIG Suit
Weakness: Haunted by visions of his dead lover

Isaac uses his trademark Plasma Cutter to dismember his enemies. They get too close, he smacks them down to the ground and then stomps on them with his ultra sharp feet. He can also use stasis to slow his enemies down, and kinesis allows him to use the environment to his advantage. His main weakness is being occasionally haunted by visions of his dead lover Nicole. Should this happen, Isaac is left completely open to attack. If he can make an appearance in Dragon Age II, then entering into kombat shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Fatality: Isaac carefully shoots each limb off of the victim with the Plasma Cutter and then as the torso squirms on the floor, he stamps on the head causing it to explode.

2. Big Daddy (Bioshock)
9 Characters That Should Be In Mortal Kombat

Origin: Edenia
Specialities: Drill Charge, Ground Tremor, Ground ‘n’ Pound
Weakness: Open to attack after charging

Big Daddy is a formidable enemy with a quick temper, which often results in charges at his opponent while lunging with his huge drill. He is a heavy hitter that can catch the opponent off guard with a surprising bout of speed. Another tactic deployed by Big Daddy is to cause ground tremors by smacking the ground to topple any opponents that get too close.

Fatality: Big Daddy revs its drill to full speed and then charges at the stunned opponent who is then impaled on the drill. Big Daddy then drills through the opponents torso, spilling guts all over the floor. The opponent is still alive when they drop to the floor in half. The upper half expresses terror and tries to crawl away from the small army of Little Sisters that proceed to stab them with giant needles.

3. Nemesis-T02 (Resident Evil 3)
9 Characters That Should Be In Mortal Kombat

Origin: Netherealm
Specialities: Walking Tall, Tentacles, Venom
Weakness: Relies on grappling attacks

Before being deployed in Raccoon City to eliminate the members of S.T.A.R.S., Umbrella decided to test the skills of the Nemesis in the arena. The more damage he takes the more dangerous the Nemesis becomes, so opponents should aim for a quick finish. The Nemesis’ weakness lies in being inexperienced in melee combat as it prefers to simply grapple and move in for the kill.

Fatality: The Nemesis sprouts tentacles and lifts its opponent off the ground. The tentacles then wrap around the body and squeeze so the victim hears every bone break in their body. One tentacle then enters the mouth and stabs its way through the skull to finish them off.

4. Ezio Auditore (Assassins Creed 2)
9 Characters That Should Be In Mortal Kombat

Origin: Earthrealm
Specialities: Hidden Blades, Cloak, Quick Hands
Weakness: Easily wounded

Although Ezio is very quick with his hands, the real threat lies in the hidden blades stashed away under his sleeves. Ezio is a tricky customer to keep hold of as he often uses smoke bombs to disappear, to soon reappear behind you while jamming a blade into your back. His main weakness is his vulnerability, but he makes up for this by being quick and deadly.

Fatality: Ezio rapidly stabs the opponent several times in the stomach with his hidden blades. He then retracts both arms in order to thrust them out into the opponents eyes with the hidden blades penetrating through the eyeballs and into the brain.

5. Marcus Fenix (Gears of War)
9 Characters That Should Be In Mortal Kombat

Origin: Earthrealm
Specialities: Lancer, Armour, Masculinity!
Weakness: Sluggish

Fenix is heavily armoured and can take a lot of damage, but is equally weighed down by this causing him to be a little sluggish. With a lancer in hand, Fenix’s best tactics are lunging with the attached chainsaw blade and shouting profanities in an overtly masculine way.

Fatality: Fenix flares up his Lacer chainsaw and neatly hacks off the defeated opponents legs from the knee. As they bleed heavily lying on the floor he kicks them over on to their front and curb stomps their head with a satisfying crunch.
