Every month we will introduce you to the top 5 games that cause our editors to salivate at the thought of playing them. It should be mentioned that a game doesn't end up on this list easily: each of them went through a rigorous selection process that involves lots of bruised skin and the occasional black eye. Not to be missed!

The Saboteur

The Saboteur Some people pissed off Sean Devlin by murdering his friends. A mistake and a big one at that. Sean vows to find who is behind the murders and hungers for revenge. The game is set in Paris during World War II which gives you a fair lead as to who is to blame for all this. Playing as Sean, the player finds allies among the resistance who will at times offer help but will also ask for help in return. Dark, somewhat oppressive atmosphere in The Saboteur lends a perfect background to a film noir story filled with action and conflicting emotions. The open world nature contributes greatly to the sense of freedom in a game that already offers a truckload of variety. Driving scenes are mixed with shooting scenes as well as stealth missions. Never a dull moment!

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Link is back and ready for more adventure. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks sports graphics reminiscent of those in The Phantom Hourglass which is hardly a complaint. Crisp and lush worlds are waiting to be explored by our little green adventurer. The puzzle's promise to be more creative than ever before, especially with the new ability to create ice bridges that allow Link to cross water. Well, that is when he is not riding a train cross country in pursuit of whatever needs finding to advance to the next stage. Yep, you read that right: the boat from Phantom Hourglass has been ditched in favor of a lightning fast steam train. A train with teeth we might add... A big cannon rests on a wagon pulled just behind the steam engine. Using it is simple: just point and shoot.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories The Silent Hill series once stood synonymous for some of the best horror action to be found in gaming. In recent years, the franchise lost some of its shine but we have good reason to believe that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories returns it to firmer ground. Certainly the dark setting will contribute to the overall feel of dread in the game, as will the numerous horrific creatures that our out for your blood. They don't just jump at you, they also latch onto you, trying to gorge themselves on your neck or other body parts. Light, or lack thereof, is an important part of the gameplay. You will soon learn that leaving your torchlight switched off may be a better choice than having it blind your sight too much. Only play this game if you have a strong stomach.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes It is hard to believe that Might & Magic has made it to handhelds, but yet it is finally here. Hold on! It is not a traditional Might & Magic game. While the Role Playing elements are certainly there Ubisoft has attempted to take the series in a new direction, one better suited for the Nintendo DS. Players will do a fair bit of exploring and leveling up their characters, but they will also engage in puzzle battles that bring something new to the franchise. Rather than simply stacking your units and pitting them against the enemy in a battle of the strongest, creating formations has become just as important. This adds a whole new strategic layer that will have experimenting with the best line-ups for each type of unit.

Rogue Warrior

Rogue Warrior We had almost forgotten about Rogue Warrior, but not quite. Players will need both brain and brawn to navigate through most the maps. At times it is stealth that keeps you alive but the action scenes that have you in intense combat situations are far more prevalent. When the going gets tough, the tough seek cover. Sometimes the enemy comes in such great numbers that the odds are against you, even if you are an armed to the teeth commando. Finding an object to hide behind while blindly firing your gun into the masses is a good tactic in these situations. Oh, and did we mention that Mickey Rourke is giving your character voice? A game with an attitude, that much is certain.
