Homeland Security Official Hired by Sony
Earlier in the year, a group of hackers invaded the online repositories of Sony Entertainment, stealing information on the 77 million accounts Sony had, leaving 23 day of service outage, and considerably longer outrage in its wake. Sony shares have fallen 55% since the company revealed the hacking incident on April 27 this year.
Reuters reports that a new chief information security officer post has just been filled by former U.S. Department of Homeland Security officer Philip Reitinger. This individual will now spearhead Sony's efforts to stay hacker-free and secure. Hopefully.
In related satirical news, Sony has also updated it's online servers passwords from "admin"/"admin" to something a lot less conspicuous.
