Rage's Latest Behind-the-Scenes Trailer Will Blow Your Head Off

id Software, the pioneers behind FPS legends such as Doom, Wolfenstein and Quake, have just released the third video in a six-part series highlighting all that their newest endeavor, Rage, has to offer.

Rage is set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by a meteor impact. You are one of the last remaining survivors that were cryogenically frozen in specially designed “Arks” to ensure the continuity of the human race. However, when you wake up six years after the impact, the world has gone to hell, and it is left up to you to play your part in fixing it.

The latest video promises that despite combat depth, an in-game economy, and some RPG elements, Rage at its core is a first-person shooter. This video, titled ‘The Arsenal’ details all the cool weaponry and gadgets the player has at his or her disposal to, well, dispose of the throngs of attacking enemies. My personal favorite so far is the boomerang decapitator, uh, thing. What’s yours?
