Civilization V Sci-Fi Unit Revealed

Civilization V Sci-Fi Unit Revealed
The time has come for us to get the final confirmation of the new special unit in Civilization V. As most of those who have been following the news surrounding the game already know, the boxed special edition contained five figurines, one of which looked like a mech unit. Thus, it will not come as a surprise that the special Sci-Fi unit is, indeed, a mech unit.

Civilization V Sci-Fi Unit Revealed
This unit goes, at least for the time being, by the stupendously imaginative name of Giant Death Robot. and here is the description from the Civilopedia, as well as the important stats:

The "Giant Death Robot" is a giant bipedal mechanical robot armed with a variety of missiles, Gatling gun arms, laser-beam eyes and a deadly kung-fu punch. Although not currently found in the modern battlefield, no doubt across the world governments and evil corporations are secretly developing these metal behemoths even as we speak. When these robots come into service, all of the world's other weaponry will become obsolete, and humanity's fate will be decided by a climactic battle between armies of good and evil Giant Death Robots in the streets of downtown Tokyo (assuming that the giant radioactive monsters don't get us first.)

Combat Strength: 150
Movement: 3
Required Resource: Uranium
Required Tech: Nuclear Fusion
Penalty Attacking Cities
No Defensive Bonuses
Can Move After Attacking

Now, you may ask if this unit really fits into the concept of Cilivization series. Personally, I have my doubts, especially since we know how unscientific the whole concept of a two-legged robot unit is (having five legs would make it much more stable). As it is, the Giant Death Robot will be the first fantasy unit (yes, I call it fantasy instead of sci-fi) in the game and we can only hope that this does not indicate a trend - or that the unit is only available in some scenarios and not the full game.
