Hooked Gamers - Get Your Game On!
Just finished God of War III and replayed the original. Both as as great as always; I'll be starting the second one soon. Alan Wake is great - fantastic music and narrative. Pokemon: SoulSilver is taking up most of my time though - so addictive and fun.

New MediEvil Apparently In The Works

New MediEvil Apparently In The Works
Remember back on the PlayStation, there was that game, MediEvil, where you played as a goofy skeleton who knew how to handle a sword? Do you also remember the sequel, MediEvil 2? What about the PSP remake, MediEvil: Resurrection? Well, they were quite good and it sounds like there's a new one in development.

In the latest issue of PSM3, they say that a new MediEvil game is being made by Sony Cambridge. No other details have been given and there's been no confirmation either but it would be great to see another title in series. Presumably, it will be on PS3 and not PSP.

First inFamous 2 Gameplay Released

First inFamous 2 Gameplay Released
Sucker Punch have released the first gameplay footage for their sandbox, superhero sequel, inFamous 2. The footage shows off the new, redesigned Cole making use of his new powers and abilities. This include the melee combat, some fancy electric attacks along with some stylish platforming skills.

It looks very impressive graphically too. Judging from the trailer, the game is shaping up very nicely and is exactly the kind of sequel that fans will love. Check it out after the jump - it looks great.

Insomniac Support Ratchet & Clank Collection

Insomniac Support Ratchet & Clank Collection
Insomniac, developers of Ratchet & Clank and Resistance have revealed on Twitter that they would support Sony if they were to make a Ratchet & Clank Collection. However, Insomniac have no interest in making it themselves.
"we won't make it, but we'd support Sony if they decided to do it!"
Sony have said they want to continue making PS2 collections for the PS3 so it's definitely a possibility.

Studio Ghibli Game Heading To PS3

Studio Ghibli Game Heading To PS3
Ni no Kuni: The Another World, the game being developed by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli was previously to be released on the DS but Famitsu have revealed that it will also be coming to the PS3. The PS3 version will have Move support so presumably Move will replace the touch screen parts of the game.

Unlike the DS version, which is set to be released in Japan this year, the PS3 release date is currently "TBA". Not much has been revealed or shown but what has is looking very good. With a team made up of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli though, it would be hard not to be.

Thanks to Andriasang for translating.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Exclusive PS3 Beta

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Exclusive PS3 Beta
As previously revealed, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will have a multiplayer mode along with the single player. Now, it has been revealed that there will be a beta for this multiplayer, exclusively for the PlayStation 3. A trailer (Not gameplay) was released showing off how the multiplayer will play.

It seems to take the form, or at least one mode will, of team assassinations. Hopefully, players will be able to work together to assassinate the other team members as that would be pretty interesting. The exclusive Brotherhood content doesn't end there though. A range of single player DLC will also be released exclusively for the PS3 after the game is released.

Fans will be happy to know that it will be released on November 2nd this year (North America). It looks just as great as it always has done; hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Also announced was that it will support full 3D which will be very impressive with a game as good looking as this.

Portal 2 Coming To The PS3

Portal 2 Coming To The PS3
Gabe Newell just appeared in Sony's E3 conference to reveal that Portal 2 is coming to the PlayStation 3 and to show off the first trailer. It was simply a teaser revealing that Glados wants to leave the past behind her, just like Valve.

However, the most interesting part of this announcement is that the PS3 will utilise parts of Steam to handle updates and so on. This will apparently make it the best console version of Portal 2.

Killzone 3 Coming February 2011
Guerrilla Games' upcoming Killzone 3 has been confirmed for a February 2011 release date. A trailer was also shown showing off some of the set pieces in the winter environments. Visually is was impressive and it looked like a solid, action packed FPS.

It was developed with 3D in mind and has been designed to incorporate it in the best way possible.

Sly Cooper Collection To Be Announced?

Sly Cooper Collection To Be Announced?
Reports coming from 1UP (Which have now been removed) are suggesting that a collection of Sly Cooper will be announced during Sony’s conference later on today. Apparently the bundle will not only feature HD support but also 3D support which could definitely prove to be interesting.

It’s also worth noting that other PS2 collections are apparently set to be revealed. It’s already been rumoured that a Shadow of the Colossus/Ico pack will be released so that could possibly show up, especially with The Last Guardian being developed at the moment. Other possibilities include Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Metal Gear Solid. My money is on Jak showing up though.

Demon's Souls Gets EU Release Date

Demon's Souls Gets EU Release Date
As reported yesterday, Namco Bandai said that a full announcement regarding From Software's old school RPG, Demon's Souls, would come today. Namco have now announced that it will be released in PAL territories June 25th this year so there's not too much of a wait.

Of course, your patience will not go unrewarded. There will be no "standard edition" of Demon's Souls and instead only the "Black Phantom Edition" will see release in the EU but at a standard price. Not only will you get a copy of the game but you will also get an art book, the soundtrack and a strategy guide in a nice, little box. All of these will be new and not left overs of the US versions.

Picture after the jump.

Demon's Souls Finally Heading To EU

Demon's Souls Finally Heading To EU
Demon's Souls has been extremely well received in Japan and the US where it has been out for a while now. Gamers have praised the fact that it is a challenging, old school, fantasy RPG with innovative online and solid gameplay. However, European gamers haven't had the chance to play it (Outside of importing) but that will be changing soon.

Namco Bandai will be publishing the game in European regions and details will be revealed tomorrow. Namco told VG247 that they "will be making a full announcement tomorrow.” so we can expect to find out release dates and whatnot then.

Heavy Rain Sells 1 Million

Heavy Rain Sells 1 Million
Quantic Dream's cinematic crime-thriller, Heavy Rain has now sold 1 million copies. When you consider that Heavy Rain is a niche title that doesn't really appeal to the masses this is really impressive. Before release many analysists claimed that it wouldn't do well commercially but it appears to be getting along fine.

David Cage, the game's Director, is expecting another 500,000 sales by the end of the year which would, obviously, be even more impressive. Personally, I loved the game and think it's great to see something so different be appreciated like this; Heavy Rain deserves every sale it gets.

Anyone who has played thatgamecompany's second PSN title, Flower will know just how good it is; it's great for sitting back, relaxing and just enjoying the experience. It will come with eight tracks which make up just over an hour of music and will be priced at €1.99/£1.59/$2.99. Currently, PSN is the only means of obtaining it but iTunes seems a possibility as it has been discussed before.

Final Fantasy IX Coming To PSN

Final Fantasy IX Coming To PSN
Following the footsteps of the two Final Fantasy's before it, Final Fantasy IX is confirmed to be making it's way to the PlayStation Network. A member of Square Enix mentioned that the possibility would be discussed in an upcoming meeting via Twitter and it has now been confirmed for release.

The announcement also comes via Twitter with a video being posted. Translations from Andriasang state that in the video he confirms the release of the game on PSN. I've never played this one but I've heard good things so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately there is no word on release or pricing yet but hopefully details will appear soon.
