Xbox Is Now Stable?

Xbox Is Now Stable?
Just before last December I switched on my Xbox 360, back then I used it more for movies than I did gaming, that's why it pissed me off even more when I received the dreaded "red ring of death" and nearly missed out on Christmas gaming. It is a pain to send it to Microsoft and get it fixed, home remedies and YouTube finally yielded desperate and I sent it away. It never came back again that console, they sent me a new one, a shiny one, it was actually a good deal, especially since I got a free month of LIVE.

Well Microsoft have now announced that the problems that plague and inspire rage in gamers are now over, for the most part. Apparently with better grade materials being used and a better design the 360 will now be rid of heat issues that apparently cause the dreaded ring. Am I the only one not to simply shake my head and tut at Microsoft's rushed console? Does this mean it won't sound like a jet taking off when in action?

Aaron Greenburg, the production manager of Microsoft said to GameSpot "I can tell you the consoles we're making today have lower-heat chips and better cooling, and we're seeing fantastic quality in those consoles today. That said, I know people have had issues with systems, which were bought earlier in the life cycle, and that's part of the reason why we implemented our unprecedented three-year warranty for anyone who gets the three red-ring flashing light error or the E74 error."

Is anyone else seeing a charm offensive on Microsoft's part? A price cut and now promises of a newer stable system, it seems that either Microsoft were shaken by Sony's attempt to get more buyers or it is simply trying to over take Nintendo is terms of popularity. Don't get me started on that damn Wii
