Caught on tape: Gamers fight off robbers

Two masked robbers targeting an Internet cafe in Kaneohe, Hawaii last were on the receiving end of some nerd rage when the cafe's customers began to fight back. And it was all caught on tape!

According to KHON2, two masked men walked into PC Gamerz just before midnight Wednesday and started yelling at the cafe's owner, Devin Wolery, then punched him. A second punch gets the attention of the cafe's customers, and the robbers ask for their money, making motions to indicate they might have guns on them.

The customers hand over their cash, but when one of the robbers asks for a gamer's Nintendo DS, it's on like Donkey Kong! Instead of handing the handheld over, gamer Dylan Hays begins to fight back. Other customers rush to help him, and they manage to not only rip one of the robber's mask off, but they force the pair out the door as well.

"I mean we're gamers, we've been immersed in that culture where like we all want to Superman, you know we're missing something partial in our brain that says yeah this might be dangerous," said Hays. "I mean, it's Devin's place but it's also ours, like this is where we come to hang out."
