Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse debuting on PSN
The Freelance Police are coming to the Playstation Network for the first time ever!

Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse is the latest episodic adventure of the anthropomorphic crimefighting duo. The first episode, titled "The Penal Zone," will be released on the PC, Mac and PS3 starting on April 15th. There is no word on whether or not Sam & Max will return to Xbox LIVE Arcade and, right now, it seems that season three is a PSN exclusive.

Your PS3 not working? "Play" Heavy Rain on YouTube

Sure, the PS3 is having some problems right now, but that doesn't mean you can't still get a Heavy Rain fix.

PlayStation Nordic has posted a series of interactive Heavy Rain clips on YouTube. You can't perform any of the smaller interactions, but you can make the bigger decisions by clicking on the annotation links at the end of each clip. You'll then be taken to the next clip and shown what happens next.

Hang in there Playstation fans!

BioWare denies Mass Effect 2 PS3 rumor

BioWare denies Mass Effect 2 PS3 rumor
BioWare crushed the dreams of Sony fans today by flatly denying the rumor that Mass Effect 2 was being prepped for a Playstation 3 release.

Despite the fact that the original Mass Effect was never released on the PS3, and that releasing it's sequel there without the carryover system would make no sense, the rumor gained a little steam on the BioWare Social Network forums before being roundly denied by BioWare Community Coordinator Chris Priestly.
The Unreal Engine is cross platform, hence the PS3 code. This was brought up back in Mass Effect 1 days as well. Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360.

He then locked down the thread.

Assassin's Creed 2 patch fixes Hideout bug

Assassin's Creed 2 patch fixes Hideout bug
Two days ago, I reported that an Assassin's Creed 2 fix was on the way for a game-breaking bug that would trap players in the Hideout in Sequence 11. Today, Ubisoft has released it's first patch for the action stealther on the PS3. A patch for the X360 version of the game is set to be released on December 11th.

Patch notes are listed after the break and may contain slight spoilers. You've been warned!

Dragon Age: Origins gold on all three platforms
Good news for Playstion 3 RPG fans! Bioware announced today (via BluesNews) that Dragon Age: Origins has not only gone gold on the PC and Xbox 360, it has gone gold on the Playstation 3 as well.

"We’re excited to confirm that all three versions of Dragon Age: Origins will be available to fans on November 3 in North America," said Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager, RPG/MMO Group of EA, and Co-Founder, BioWare. "The Dragon Age: Origins development team was able to polish the PlayStation 3 version to our high standard of quality and we are ready to deliver the richest and deepest role-playing fantasy experience across all three platforms."

Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC coming in the next two weeks

Batman: Arkham Asylum DLC coming in the next two weeks
Batman: Arkham Asylum's in-game ticker has been hinting at it for weeks. Now, over on the Playstation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's Mike Kebby says two new DLC packs are coming to the Playstation Network (and, presumably, the PC and Xbox LIVE) over the next two weeks.

Rumors had floated around the internet that the hinted DLC packs would be re-releases of pre-order exclusives, like the 'Dem Bones challenge room, but that no longer seems to be the case. The first DLC pack, called Insane Night, comes out on Sept. 17th. Prey in the Darkness will come out the following week on Sept. 24th.

No further details about the new content have been released. Both sound like new challenge rooms - Insane Night could be a combat challenge and Prey in the Darkness a predator challenge - but we'll have to wait and see.
