Bethesda and inXile to publish Hunted: The Demon's Forge
If you're the type of gamer who loves a good dungeon crawl, you're in luck. Bethesda announced on Monday that it is publishing Hunted: The Demon's Forge, a third-person co-op fantasy game being developed by inXile.
Set in a dark fantasy world, Hunted lets you and a friend team up to battle your way through waves of enemies as either ranged expert E'lara or master swordsman Caddoc. Using a variety of weapons, spells and cover tactics, players will explore dungeons, overgrown ruins, and downtrodden towns as they investigate the disappearance of townsfolk from across the land.
Using the Unreal 3 engine, Bethesda and inXile are promising a dungeon crawl that has "the intensity of a shooter."
Having had a hand in such classic fantasy titles as The Bard's Tale, Baldur's Gate, and Fallout, inXile founder Brian Fargo sees the developer's work on Hunted as a return to its fantasy roots.
"inXile has an extremely talented team and we couldn’t be more pleased to have them working on one of our upcoming titles," said Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks. "We believe gamers will be really excited about what these guys have in store for them."
Hunted: The Demon's Forge will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. There is no release date yet, giving you and a gaming buddy plenty of time to argue over who gets to play the hot elf chick.
