Zachary Quinto to lend voice to Star Trek Online

Zachary Quinto, star of this year's Star Trek reboot, will lend his voice to the upcoming Star Trek MMO, said Atari in a press release today.

Quinto, who received critical and fan acclaim for his role as Spock in the movie, will play the part of an Emergency Medial Hologram and will voiceover the game's tutorial.

"Being a part of the Star Trek universe has been an incredible experience for me,” said Zachary Quinto. “Extending that experience into the gaming space - and sharing it with gamers and trek enthusiasts around the world - makes it even more exciting."

Set in the year 2409, Star Trek Online will offer space and ground game play, detailed ship customization, and the ability for players to create their own species.

It is expected to be released in the U.S. on February 2, 2010.
