Create your Dragon Age: Origins character ahead of time

Once again, console owners everywhere have reason to feel shafted. Bioware Community Coordinator Chris Priestly has announced on the official Bioware forums that they are releasing Dragon Age: Origin's Character Creator three weeks ahead of the game's November 3rd release.

Available as a separate application you can download to your PC, the Character Creator will let you experiment with the game's classes and races and let you "pre-create" your characters, then save them to your hard drive until the game is released.

In addition to the Character Creator, Bioware is also launching the beta version of their social community site, where players will be able to upload their characters and use them as profile avatars, among other things.

As someone who constantly has trouble deciding what to play in a RPG, being able to get the agonizing choices out of the way early sounds great! Now if only I hadn't pre-ordered the Xbox 360 version...
