SW:TOR opens closed beta registration, crashes website

Today, Bioware opened registration for Star Wars: The Old Republic beta... and the flood of eager gamers promptly crashed the official website.

All that is up on the site now is a message saying it's under maintenance and should be back in a few hours.

Once the site is back up, head over here to fill out an application if you're interested in being a beta tester for the highly-anticipated MMORPG. However, spots are limited and there is no guarantee that all applicants will be accepted into the closed beta.
