Aion releases Open Beta, Headstart details

Get ready to mark your calendars! NCSoft has announced the dates for the Open Beta, Pre-Select, and Headstart program for their upcoming MMO Aion.

Open beta testing, which features version 1.5, will take place September 6-13th and will include a number of enhancements, including new Western-style character customization features, zones, quests, and game balancing improvements. Open Beta will have a level cap of 30.

Players who have pre-ordered Aion will also be able to take advantage of the Pre-Select and Headstart Programs. Beginning on September 18th, players can reserve their character name and server, but will have to wait two days later for the Headstart program to begin on the 20th before they can hop into the game.

Players can still participate in Aion's Pre-Select and Headstart programs by pre-ordering the game through several participating online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
