Fate of the World: Tipping Point Out Now, Demands You Save The Polar Bears
Real-time strategy games have been the hotness these past few years what with titles like Starcraft II, World in Conflict and the like giving PC gamers plenty of reasons to sit down and waste away the weekend. Strategy games are still going strong though and Red Redemption, a developer out of the UK, intends to make it even stronger. Fate of the World: Tipping Point, the expansion to the eco-geo-political sim from this past February, was released yesterday on Steam and GamersGate. As a "serious game", Tipping Point sticks you with the bill of preventing global warming and doing pretty much everything you can to save the world while adding tweaks, UI enhancements, new scenarios and a universally desired easy mode. Tipping Point also includes all of the DLC released up until now.
The original game was released to generally positive reviews and Tipping Point looks to do even better. I've included screenshots as well as a trailer for your consideration below. I'm not doing this for the bears though: until they halt their plans to initiate the inevitable Bearmageddon you won't see me turning off the A/C in my apartment.
