Dead Island Trailer Is Emotionally Stimulating, Well Worth Your Attention

Hey, you! Yes you there, the one sitting at your monitor surfing the internet while eating tacos. Do you remember Dead Island? You know, that Techland title that disappeared into obscurity shortly after being announced in 2007? Well, regardless of whether you do Techland, the same company responsible for the Call of Juarez series, felt it wise to release a new trailer for the game which is, well, nothing short of great.

What gets me really excited about Dead Island is how it isn't just another zombie game. It is an open world sandbox-esque experience that allows for full cooperative play and with a heavy emphasis on melee combat. It is also reported that the game will use John Romero zombie rules instead of today's more common fast-paced, smart zombies.

We'll hopefully see more in the coming months about the game but given how this is the first footage of the game in almost four years I'm not counting on a flood of information.
