I live... again!

I live... again!
Greetings once more from the Muse you adore. I know that it's been a while since I've spouted any of my particular brand of madness. As I'm sure millions of people have been missing my entries (perhaps billions!), I thought it'd be a great idea to tell what has happened to me.

It all started many moons ago when I found myself new employment. At the time of this writing in fact, I am enjoying my first free day in a couple weeks. So what is the secret and extremely glamorous manner in which I earn a living? I walk puppies! Well, no, not just puppies and not just walking either. I have recently started at a pet sitting company that does everything from boarding to walks of all kinds of pets.
While I have been loving every moment of it (did I mention PUPPIES?), it's certainly kept me busy as of late.

A fellow HookedGamer suggested to me that I reflect upon my time out of gaming news in my first post back, and this is what I have come to decide. I enjoy writing news and commentary on games for much the very same reason I enjoy my current new work (sadly, no, not puppies this time). Both are providing a service that I hope the people receiving it are benefiting from, and both involve working with things I love; games and (yay) puppies as fate would have it.

I have missed providing a slightly off kilter view on the gaming world, much in the same way that I would miss petting a lovable canine friend. I think that both leave me feeling rewarded in ways that being paid simply can never do, and that's why I choose to do both. If any were actually missing my posts and wondering what had become of me, that's the short of it. Oh, and also I had to put my 14 year old pet to sleep.

Now now, dry those eyes. He was very much a part of my family and I doubt I will ever stop missing him, but he lived a very long, and I believe, happy life for a dog. In the very recent years he began to develop health problems however, and they never really get any better at that age. Finally, there was simply no other option with his best interest in mind.

So I leave you for now, knowing that I have returned and why I have been gone. I am one family member poorer for my time away, but his memory lives on with me. Immortalized below, please see my lovely shaggy mess of a dog, out in the snow which he loved. He will be missed and loved always.

I live... again!
