Visceral Games first allowed PS3 users early access to the demo for their upcoming game based on the epic novel, Dante's Inferno. They have now taken it one step further making it known that for no extra cost, gamers that purchase Dante's Inferno on the PS3 this February will receive the Divine Edition of the game.
What is included in this edition you ask? For no extra cost gamers will receive the following:
- Developer commentaries
- Wayne Barlow digital art book
- Soundtrack from the game
- A digital copy of the complete Longfellow translation of Dante Alighieri's Inferno
For the extra cost of absolutely nothing, one has to admit that these are quite decent additions. Thus, for the same cost as the 360 version of the game you get some added bonuses.
Gearbox creative director Mike Neumann teased an announcement of something that eventually got pushed back, and not getting announced. Regardless, it seems as though the beans have been spilled anyways. PS3Trophies.org added a new series of trophies this morning that included the ones pictured to the right. No achievements have surfaced yet for the 360 version of the game, but it is only a matter of time.
About a month ago, I wrote a news article about the rumors surrounding the existence of a 250GB PS3 on the horizon. Today, Sony has confirmed these rumors in that a 250GB PS3 is in fact on the way and will be launching November 3, 2009 at a price point of $349.99.
These rumors were confirmed on October 1, 2009 for Europe when they released a variety of bundles including games such as Infamous and Need for Speed Shift. Thus far the only thing Sony has confirmed they are launching in North America is a 250GB PS3 with hookups and controller; no game included. Rumors will continue to plague this story as reports of an Uncharted 2: Among Thieves bundle bearing an ESRB (the North America based rating system), have all but been confirmed.
Many have requested it and many have complained about not having it. A feature that seems fairly standard and has been on the 360 since it's launch in 2005, the PS3 has yet to receive. Well those days may be over according to a developer at Naughty Dog known as ReklissAbandon on Twitter. While commenting on the lack of enemy spectating in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, he seemed to let slip that cross game chat was coming in the next firmware update. The exact words and more after the jump!
It would not be the first time that something like this has leaked from the cracks of Sony's ship. The PSPgo and Slim are both recent notches on that long list. It may be possible to add another as this is the supposed box art for the 250gb Slim PS3 that is apparently on its way. It would make sense for something like this to arrive prior to Christmas so I would look for an announcement in the coming days. As you can tell this is the European box, and there may be no plans to bring it to the West. Time will tell.
