Forza 3 Product Manager: We Beat GT5 on Alot of Features
Many think that the definitive sim-racing game of this gen will belong to Gran Turismo 5. According to the Forza 3 developers, that is ludicrous. In an interview with
EGTV, product manager Amritz Lay mentioned that Forza 3 beats Gran Turismo 5 on "many" features.
We've seen it on the floor, it's a good looking game, in terms of the content feature by feature, you know, I believe we beat them on a lot of the features as well our 400 cars, they're fully built cars, full interiors, fully damageable and deliveries just to mention that user created - user generated content really takes our game to the next level.
The inclusion of user-created content has always been a strong suit of the Forza Motorsport brand, however, I really do not know that they will have the backing to beat a game like Gran Turismo. Gran Turismo will have more than the 400 cars, almost guaranteed, now keep in mind that quantity does not equal quality. Gran Turismo 5 should be scrutinized much more heavily as it has been in development since 2006, whereas Forza Motorsport 3 was announced at E3 2009. Gran Turismo will not be out until sometime next year whereas, Forza Motorsport 3 will be out later this month. Time will tell when it comes to which game will be superior.
