Nintendo: Gameplay Experience More Important Than Graphical Achievements

There are rumors abound across the internet suggesting that Nintendo's upcoming Wii U is not on the same graphical level as the PS3 and 360, but according to the mega-publisher it's not about graphics.

In a recent statement to Digital Trends Nintendo said that it's about gameplay experiences that count, not graphical achievements.
“We do not focus on technology specs."

“We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers.”
A GamesIndustry report has cited that the Wii U's power isn't quite up to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, other outlets have reported that the Wii U is plenty powerful and just as good as the PS3 and 360.

The Wii U is out at the end of the year.
