3DS Becomes Fastest Selling Console To 5 Million In Japan History

Nintendo has announced that their 3DS handheld gaming system has become the fastest selling console to reach 5 million units sold in Japan history.

The 3DS only needed 52 weeks (or exactly one year) to accomplish the feat while the original Nintendo DS needed 56 weeks, while the Game Boy Advance needed 58 weeks.

Media Create claims that the 5 million number is Nintendo's number sold to consumers, which is even more impressive.
