Insomniac Done With Resistance Franchise

Ted Price, Insomniac CEO, recently stated that his studio would not be doing anymore Resistance titles.

In an interview with VG247 at the Game, Business, Law Summit at Southern Methodist University, Price said simply that the studio was done with the PS3-exclusive franchise.

Price stated that the studio's focus has turned to the co-op title Overstrike now that the Resistance trilogy is complete. Price also briefly touched on the fact that Insomniac has opened up their own social gaming studio, Insomniac Click.
“Certainly over the next couple years, we’re going to see a huge evolution in visuals in social games,” Price said. “It’s thanks to improving technologies. It’s thanks to browsers that are getting better and more powerful. It’s thanks to development teams – core traditional game teams who are moving into the space.”
Overstrike is expected this year at some point.
