More Xbox LIVE Hacking Attempts Surface

After reports over the past few weeks of Xbox LIVE accounts being hacked, more and more reports have surfaced as of late.

Most notably an attack on a Xbox LIVE account where the user later discovered that their account had been sold through a site working out of China to another Xbox LIVE user. The user took to the interwebz to tell his story and keep track, you can read it here. The user noticed some unauthorized purchases made from his account so she contacted Microsoft Customer Service. Microsoft assured her that her account had been deactivated and that they would be conducting an investigation. Thinking she was in the clear the user went about her business, a couple of days later more unauthorized purchases were made from the account she believed had been deactivated.

Microsoft has denied that there were widespread hacking attempts even after reports surfaced with evidence on the contrary. The rising number of reported hacking attempts has to be concerning to the average gamer and the fact that MS keeps denying it has to be even more concerning.

If you happen to have your account hacked or your notice attempts of hacking, be sure to contact MS' customer support.
