GameStop Tells Customers The Last Guardian Is Canceled, Sony Says Otherwise

According to recent reports GameStop has started telling its customers the the planned PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last Guardian has been canceled.

The video game retailer has pulled all pre-orders for the game in light of the news. A GameStop customer who had pre-ordered the title and received the ominous phone call, recorded his conversation with the robot lady on the other end. Listen to it here.

Joystiq is also reporting that GameStop employees have been telling customers in-store that the game has been canned.

Sony's Patrick Seybold responded to a Kotaku report saying that reports of the game's cancellation are "not true" and the title has not be canceled.

If this is true, Santa doesn't exist and Christmas is ruined.
