Game-Breaking Bug Present In The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Nintendo has acknowledged that there seems to be a game-breaking glitch in their massive hit, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
A Nintendo spokesperson said in an email statement to
ZeldaInformer;
“We have been made aware of the issue that results in being unable to progress in the Song of the Hero quest. If the game has been saved after completing the sequence of events, it will no longer be possible to proceed through the game on that save file. The only options at that point are to either start the game over or to use an earlier save file to continue."
“I wish I had a better answer, but I’m afraid there currently is no other fix available. I can assure, however, that we are documenting all feedback we receive on this issue. Thank you for your patience and support.”
The "game break" comes from a particular sequence where you get the song of the Thunder Dragon from Lanaryu Mine then speak with Golo the Goron while inside the mine. Then finish the Thunder Dragon sequence and upon completion speak with Golo again before leaving the mine. Doing this blocks you from leaving the mine and thus blocks you from completing the quest and ultimately the game.
Nintendo is officially suggesting players collect the Fire and Water Dragon songs before the Thunder Dragon and avoid speaking with Goro all together.
Oh silly Nintendo, why not just update the game with a patch...oh wait.
