Fils-Aime: Skyward Sword Is A Wii-Only Title

According to Nintendo of America's bossman, Reggie Fils-Aime, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be releasing on the Wii and the Wii only.

It's been a popular idea that Skyward Sword would take the Twilight Princess route and be released on both the old console and the new console, like it was done on the Nintendo Gamecube and the Wii. Reggie Fils-Aime has stated that Skyward Sword will not be dual-released.

In an interview with VentureBeat, Fils-Aime stated,
It’s because Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was built to be played with a Wii controller."
Fils-Aime then touched on a possible Link title on the Wii U,
We showed what Link (the main character of Zelda) might look like in a 1080p environment, and it got people pretty excited."
Skyward Sword is out this holiday for the Nintendo Wii.
