Crytek Squashes Rumors Of DirectX 11 Support For Crysis 2

Crytek has squashed some rumors floating around saying that the developer is preparing a patch for their recently released title, Crysis 2, that would add DirectX 11 support.

PC Games first reported that the DX11 support would be introduced in a patch, but MyCrysis forum moderator Cry-Tom refuted the claim, saying;
“No patch was ever confirmed, I have no idea why this website even posted such information...This thread is locked just the same as the others for trying to spread inaccurate information."

“When there are any big announcements regarding Crysis 2 they will be posted on MyCrysis, if you read something about a patch for example, but don’t see it on, then it isn’t genuine.”
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Crysis 2 is out now on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
