Fallout's "Hardcore" Mode To Offer Up Special Reward

As it turns out, Fallout: New Vegas' "hardcore" mode will offer a special reward to those players who are brave enough to try the game mode.

According to this source, Harcore mode makes Stimpacks heal over time instead of instantly and you won't be able to heal broken limbs. Rad-away does not heal instantly either, over time as well. Eating and dehydration are constant problems and ammo adds on to your packs weight.

No clue on what this "special reward" will be, but if you finish the game in Hardcore mode, you'll get it. It should be noted that the mode can be turned off at any point through the game.

Fallout: New Vegas is out this Tuesday, October 19, in the US and October 22 in the UK for the PS3, 360, and PC.
