EA: First Day MoH Sales Are "Great"
Medal of Honor hit retail shelves on Tuesday at midnight and already publisher EA is saying that the first day sales figures for the video game have been "great". What they failed to mention is that there are no actual figures to back up these claims of "great"-ness.
EA then went on to say that the game is “well in position for an outstanding holiday.”
Bob McKenzie, SVP of merchandising for GameStop said;
“We anticipate Medal of Honor to be one of the biggest video game titles launched this year...This underscores how video gaming has emerged as mainstream entertainment.”
Of course the game is going to sell, it's been surrounded by controversy for months now. Sales figures don't paint the picture of how good a game is, and judging by Medal of Honor's mixed reviews (notably IGN's score of a "6"), this is probably a game you should pass.
