BioWare Releases More Info On SW: The Old Republic's Smuggler Class

BioWare has updated the Star Wars: The Old Republic website with some new information regarding the game's advanced classes.

It would appear that the Holonet has been updated which dishes on the advanced Smuggler class. Two classifications in the Smuggler class; the Scoundrel and the Gunslinger. BioWare describes the Gunslinger as the "master of the trick shot" also described as “the first to dive for cover and willing to take advantage of every opportunity". He's a dual wielding son of a gun and can “shoot out a man’s legs to keep him from charging, blind him so he can’t get to his weapons, or inflict serious injuries for maximum distraction”.

Next up you've got the Scoundrel, he's a smooth talker that will break your heart and shoot your face off. While carrying his blaster he also sports a stealth belt equipped with a med pack for all of those tough scrapes while shooting people's faces off.

While being a two timing Smuggler, you won't have to go about your smuggling business alone. BioWare has given you a companion. Yep, you guessed it...you and the Wookie, Bowdaar can be strolling the universe together. This Wookie is a gladiator on moon known as Nar Shadaa. He's your muscle in those tough situations where you're trying to shoot everyone's face off. Bowdaar carries no armor nor any weapons.

The advanced Smuggler class sees you piloting the Corellian XS Stock Light Freighter, one of the most "nimble" ships in the galaxy. Your ship comes with an enlarged cargo hold, secret compartments, laser and torpedoes, upper and lower turrets that can be operated manually or automatically, and living quarters.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is out next year for the PC.
