Fallout: New Vegas DLC Up To Bethesda
Obsidian has stated that any plans for Fallout: New Vegas DLC is up to publisher Bethesda. In a recent interview with
Planet Fallout, senior designer Chris Avellone stated that there have been no hard plans made for post-launch content.
When asked by the site about possible DLC, Avellone responded "No idea, up to Bethesda." He then continued, “They are planning for DLC. I don’t know the specifics for that yet, though."
Avellone also dished some additional details into the game's hardcore mode;
“If drinking out of toilets makes you a hero, Hardcore mode delivers,” says Avellone.
“I’ve never been so conscious of water sources in each environment until I played in Hardcore mode. And I eat until I’m stuffed and then some.
“The player has to worry about dehydration, ammo weight, resting, starvation, and healing items (Stimpaks) healing over time instead of instantly… all the things that make you more a virtual man than the next virtual man who’s playing on normal.”
Fallout: New Vegas is out on October 19 in the US and October 22 in the UK for the PS3, 360, and PC.
